Gazebo Gardens

The Gazebo is our indoor/outdoor  venue and is currently being used for spring wedding receptions. There are garden outlooks on all four sides.

  1. Looks great Liz – is that the hardy plumbago in front of the floribunda?
I see the wisteria has already hit the top rail. Will you run main branches along the top and the middle wire, and prune back between in winter? I was thinking pruning it on hedge side could be tricky if you couldn’t reach through.

    • Hi Fiona,
It certainly is hardy plumbago, doing very good service. There is golden marjoram in the bed too, a similar green to the hardy plumbago. The newly tied up wisteria is still adapting to being up in the air and subject to the wind so I’m not sure how many more shoots are going to materialise this year but we will train them along the top and middle wires and along the top of the wall on the left hand arm. There is a terrace between the hedge and the trellis that is not visible in the photo. It is planted with Loropetalum and if we are careful we should be able to do some pruning from that side too.
      Liz
